Mid-Summer Catch-Up: Cats, Gardens & Spooky Vibes
Hello Again 😸✨
It's hard to believe we're already halfway through summer. My little garden is finally taking off, the cats have been spending every chance they get outside, and apparently my corner of the internet has decided that the day after the Fourth of July officially marks the beginning of spooky season!
🌱 Garden Update
Look at all that bok choy! In a few months I should have plenty to harvest, along with broccoli, cabbage, and peppers. I really love watching everything finally take off after weeks of watering and waiting.
I've also been building a moon garden with a mini pond. It will take some time for the plants to establish themselves as they are all root cuttings that I gathered via Facebook Marketplace but the pond plants are definitely thriving.
One thing I've learned is that locally shared plants have done so much better than greenhouse plants from big nurseries. The Georgia sun and humidity are no joke, so plants that are already adapted to my climate are really starting to take root.
🐈 Little Supervisors
The cats have really been enjoying their enrichment time spent in the backyard now that the fence has been repaired and they can stay safe. Lots of grass, clover, and bugs to munch on! Momo especially loves getting her greens in.
🎃 Spooky Season Has Arrived?
I truly love that Halloween fans seem to be borrowing a page from Christmas lovers and celebrating earlier every year. Once the Halloween memes started rolling in after July 4th, I knew it was finally time to gather all of my spooky favorites into one collection.

Soon everyone will be getting ready for a new school year, so I pulled together a few of my favorite desk companions.
